Main research lines:
1) Use of nanoparticles, particularly nanoliposomes, as a drug/inmunostimulant/vaccine delivery agents for aquacultured species.
2) Development of zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a model for immunology and drug screening.
3) The evolution of the vertebrate’s immune responses with particular emphasis upon pathogen recognition, subsequent immediate responses and their role in the maintenance of allostasis in the individual.
4) Improvement of aquaculture of Mediterranean fish species.
