Professor of Physiology at the Department of Cellular Biology, Physiology and Immunology, he is Vice-Rector of Strategic Projects and Planning at UAB and is a member of the Government team responsible for the relationship with economic and territorial agents, both national and international, for Promotion of transfer. Tort was deputy dean of the Faculty of Sciences, director of the Department of Cell Biology, Physiology and Immunology, coordinator of the Biocluster, President of the Catalan Society of Biology (IEC) and has been evaluator of ANECA-Academia, AQU, International management activities such as evaluation for scientific agencies in Canada, Norway, Chile, Greece, Belgium, Taiwan and the European Commission.

Stress and immunosuppression in cultured fish.
Physiological effects, study and prevention. Endocrine and immunological indicators of stress.
Immunomodulatory molecules: cytokines and complement proteins.
